Description

Chameleon pigments also called color shifting pigments are special kind of pearl pigments. Thanks to advanced production process each of those pigments have few different colours depending on viewing angle.

On flat surfaces to see different colour, observer must change angle of viewing. On three-dimensional, curvy surfaces painted with chameleon pigment all of it colours will be seen at once.

Chameleon pigments are non-toxic, have good chemical, temperature and UV resistance. Small pareticle size means that those pigments will have good surface coverage.

It's hard to catch full potential of those pigments on photos. In reality effects may be amazing!

How to use chameleon pigment?

- For the best effect apply color shifting pigment on black surface.

- Chameleon pigment will work properly when its particles (which are small flakes) arrange parallel to the surface. Hence it's good to avoid quick drying lacquers and painted object should lie flat (thanks to gravity pigment particles will arrange parallel before lacquer cure).

- Color shifting pigments have good UV resistance but if we wish to paint outdoor object with it (which will be constantly exposed to direct sunlight) it will be wise to protect it additionally with UV protective varnish.

- Pigment does not clump and it's easy to mix with medium. If we wish to store already mixed paint for longer period of time, it will be good to mix it well before use.

-Chameleon pigments can be used for: painting (especially spray painting), resin addition (as direct addition to the resin or better for covering inside of the mold before pouring resin into it - thanks to it we will be sure that pigment particles will be arranged properly and also we will use less pigment), plastics, candles, soaps, cosmetics, nail polish, ink, plaster, slime and much more.

-Pigment dosage should be determined accordingly to used medium and our expectations. Below example dosage is listed:

- painting: 20g/L (flat surface; 1L of such paint should be enough for 6m2)

- dip coating: 27g/L

- cosmetics: 5-20% by mass

- plastics: 5-15% by mass

- inks: 5-30% by mass
