Fluorescent UV pigments gives vibrant colours under UV light. The glowing is only visible when they are illuminated by a UV lamp - it disappears immediately when the light source is turned off. This distinguishes fluorescent pigments from luminescent pigments, which can glow with noticeable light for up to 12 hours after being charged with ordinary or UV light.
