Solvent green 5 fluorescent transparent dye

Solvent green 5 yellow-green dye is pure compound which means it doesn't contain any solvents. Thanks to that fact it's very effective (good, transparent coloration is possible with addition 0,01% or even less) and colored material doesn't change its mechanical characteristic.

By adding dye in bigger amount (about 0,1%) material will get opacque, orange colour.

Very good UV resistance is guarantee of long lasting colour. Additionally it's fluorescent dye - in UV light its colour is more intense.

This dye will be perfect for coloration of resins, plastics, candles, paints and many other materials which are not based on water. This dye will be ideal as addition to yellow-green luminescent pigments from our offer.

How to use:

- Because of very high dye efficiency it's not recommended (especially when we dye small objects) to use this dye directly. 1g of pure dye is enough to get transparent coloration of 10kg material - or opaque coloration of 1kg material. So it's easy to add too much of dye by accident.

Instead, it's better to make dye concentrate. Take 0,5-1g of dye and dissolve it in 100ml of medium (for example resin or lacquer). If medium is dense (especially resins) you can put container with it into hot water - this will make dissolving of dye faster. Now you can add concentrate, drop by drop to medium - till you get desired intensivity of colour. Keep in mind that (particulalry resins) intensivity of colour may differ a bit after adding hardener and curing. Because of that if you need exact intensivity of colour make some tests before real work.

- In pure form and in concentrations about 0,1% or more material colour is orange. To get transparent yellow-green colour use about 0,01% addition of dye.

- Dye is compatible with a lot of mediums and because it's pure dye (without any solvents) it will give strong, even and long lasting coloration. Unfortunately wide variety of producers and types of materials makes its impossible to predict all situations and possible problems - so before starting work it's always suggested to check how dye mix with material choosen by you.

- As every chemical substance, not used dye should be kept in sealed container; in dark and cold place, away from children's reach. Beside of safety concerns it will keep dye in good condition longer.
