Description

Fluorescent pigments glow when exposed to UV light. The glowing is only visible when they are illuminated by a UV lamp - it disappears immediately when the light source is turned off. This distinguishes fluorescent pigments from luminescent pigments, which can glow with noticeable light for up to 12 hours after being charged with ordinary or UV light.

The daytime pigment has a neutral, whitish color - on the skin it is practically invisible - mixed with a medium such as lacquer and applied to the surface it will be transparent (unless, of course, its concentration in the medium is too high). It is a pigment - it does not dissolve in the medium, but forms a suspension in it - if the finished paint is allowed to stand for a longer time, the pigment will sink to the bottom and will have to be stirred before use.

The pigment is not waterproof so it should be mixed with bases that do not contain water, such as solvent lacquers, resins, plastics, etc.

Due to its strong, intense color under UV light and negligible visibility under normal light, this pigment can be used for marking objects and detecting theft. To do this, apply a bit of pigment to the object to be marked with a brush - of course, the rougher the surface, the easier the pigment will settle. The pigment will settle on the skin of the person touching the marked object and under UV light even small amounts of pigment will be perfectly visible. Due to the lack of waterproofness and the loose deposition of pigment on the object, it is recommended to mark objects indoors. The pigment is non-toxic and is not a health hazard.
